About the website...
was recently redesigned by Aubrey Berry and myself to be easy to
navigate though a single page so that every page
on the site can be reached within a couple clicks. We have received
excellent support from Rick, Karen, Rhonda, Dan, Greg, Mark, the Neers, and
the rest of the crew. We want everyone to know that we are here not
only to build the site but to help it grow. This site will eventually
be a culmination of the ideas of members, staff, volunteers and fans, not
just the ideas of one or two people. I assure you that Aubrey and I
are in for the long haul and stand steadfast beside the the members and
staff of Capital Regiment.
Capital Regiment is a very
unique Corps and in the spirit of this, we have attempted to gain some GE
points for style by doing something not seen on other Corps' websites.
We have used flash animation, and sound clips as an intro into the site,
which we have seen on many a member's MySpace page but not on other Corps'
homepages. (We have some very creative corps members out there and I
didn't want to disappoint these hard core web jockeys.)
About Us...
First thing to know is Aubrey and I are huge
Drum Corps fans. I have marched several years in the Battery and Pit
of The Colts, Limited Edition, Whitehall Yearling High School Band and the
University of Toledo Marching Band. My happiest Drum Corps moment was
with the Colts the 1st time they ever made top 12. You now have a
webmaster who knows what it's like to march and I still appreciate laundry
day. : )
Aubrey and I own a photography studio in Houston, TX and over five short
years have since converted a home business into a very successful, but busy,
company. Building the website has been a challenge for us since the
flash animation was entirely new to us but we are dedicated and devoted to
this mission. For a while in December it felt like a two week hell
camp and with no set book but we are very pleased with the end results.
We plan on updating the site
with more and more content so please visit often.
Please enjoy the site,
Jay "Bud" Berry
