1999 Premiere Season

Repertoire - Pure Imagination

As we begin to write our own history here at Capital Regiment, we present you with a show dedicated to youth, dreams and new beginnings entitled “Pure Imagination”. Our performance opens with a fanfare of “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  Inch Worm” follows, given that special drum corps treatment by arrangers Chuck Naffier and Kevin Tabb.  A percussion solo based on “My Favorite Things” is sure to be one of your favorite things as we show off our fine percussion section.

Inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s “Jungle Book”, we invite you to groove to the primitive excitement of “Toys in the Closet”.  Closing our show is the nostalgic and whimsical “Remembering Childhood” from Steven Spielberg’s “Hook”

Join us as we explore all of the energy, wonder and joy of childhood and celebrate the birth of something rare --- a brand new drum corps --- Capital Regiment.

Capital Regiment tied for 10th place in Division III Finals with a score of 82.20.
