Repertoire – Chasing the Dragon
For thousands of years, the mythical dragon has
been ingrained in the cultural lore of many of the world’s societies, as
have been the four elements that maintain the natural order; fire,
earth, water and air.
Capital Regiment explores the mysticism and energy
of these cultural icons in “Chasing the Dragon”, representing the different dragons and elements
with the four basic colors of red, yellow, blue and white.
The mystical perpetual motion of Cirque du Soleil’s
“Dralion” opens the
pursuit with a sense of urgent direction, followed by a blistering
percussion feature, “The Chase”.
Mysterious and powerful, “Dragonheart”
concludes the chase with the heroic ideals of the white dragon, symbolic
of purity at heart.
Capital Regiment took 4th
place at DCI Division II Finals with a score of 92.90.
Capital Regiment took 21st
place at DCI Division I Finals with a score of 73.45.
